The creation of Oud Imperial began in the fertile imagination of the Master Perfumers at Maison de Fouzdar. Our master noses sought to create a fragrance that embodied the elegance and complexity of both tradition and modernity. Our vision was clear—a scent that resonated with the depth of white oud and the sensuality of musk, underpinned by the subtleties of floral notes. Our journey to source the finest ingredients took us across continents. The white oud, a rare and precious element, was sourced from ancient agarwood trees in the heart of Southeast Asia. Each piece of agarwood was carefully selected, ensuring only the highest quality oud would be used. The musk, rich and intoxicating, was extracted using methods that preserved its purity and potency. Once the sourcing is done then starts the delicate process of blending. The white oud formed the base of Oud Imperial, its woody and slightly smoky aroma providing a robust foundation. Then we added musk with a practiced hand, knowing that too much would overwhelm the senses, but just the right amount would add a layer of warmth and depth. As the blend was taking shape, we introduced subtle floral notes to the composition. He carefully chose petals from jasmine and rose, their fragrances interwoven to add a light, ethereal quality to the perfume. The floral notes were not overpowering; rather, they served to enhance the complexity of the oud and musk, creating a harmonious balance that was both heady and delicate. Each stage of the blending process was marked by periods of rest, allowing the elements to meld and mature.
