The Orient Express represents more than just a train - it's a golden-age relic reimagined in 2,540 bricks that capture an era of uncompromising luxury. Created by Paris-based designer Thomas Lajon and voted into existence by 10,000 LEGO fans, this Ideas set transports you straight into the heritage of one of history's most legendary locomotives. The locomotive, tender, dining car, and sleeping car all feature museum-quality interior details that reward both builders and collectors who appreciate the marriage of engineering precision and aesthetic refinement.

Removable Roofs for Detailed Interior Access

The dining and sleeping cars feature removable roofs that reveal authentically detailed interiors, complete with inlaid wood paneling, mirror effects, and cozy furnishings. This design choice transforms the set from a static display piece into an exploration of period craftsmanship. You get unobstructed views of the intricate work that makes this build genuinely rewarding across its full 2,540-piece construction.

Eight Character Minifigures Depicting Golden Age Travel

The set includes eight minifigures representing the Orient Express experience: conductor, chef, staff, and passengers from different walks of life. Each figure carries narrative weight, transforming the build into a storytelling experience rather than pure construction. These aren't generic placeholder figures - they're deliberate character choices that honor the train's legendary passenger roster.

Compatible with Standard LEGO Track Systems

The Orient Express builds on L Gauge track compatibility, allowing you to integrate it into existing LEGO train layouts and expand your collection organically. New coupling rod elements debut in this set, enabling horizontal window-building techniques previously unavailable to builders. This infrastructure-forward design philosophy ensures longevity and compatibility with current and future LEGO train initiatives.
