Description
The 2022 RLC Membership '72 Nissan Skyline H/T 2000 GT-R represents a legend reborn - Mattel's second offering of this iconic casting, refined with the high-end treatment collectors demand. This isn't your standard diecast. Every detail matters: the bent-wire hood mechanism, separate engine bay piece, Spectraflame Race Team blue finish, and authentic red side stripes create a collector's piece that rewards close inspection. Limited to RLC members with a commemorative button and patch, this 1:64 scale model launched in March 2022 as the perfect way to elevate any collection. It's the kind of piece that makes you actually want to display it.
Opening Hood with Separate Engine Bay
The bent-wire hood function opens to reveal a detailed separate engine compartment piece - innovation that separates premium collectibles from standard releases. Real Riders 4-spoke wheels with red stripe tampo and a matte black-painted full-metal chassis complete the mechanical authenticity. Light smoke-tinted windows and cool gray interior add depth and character to every angle.
Spectraflame Race Team Blue Colorway
Spectraflame Race Team blue catches light differently depending on viewing angle, creating dimensional richness that photographs demand. Red side stripes, authentic logos, and a black spoiler honor the original '72 design language while the "RLC 22" license plate marks membership exclusivity. ZAMAC body construction ensures durability without compromising detail fidelity.
RLC Membership Exclusivity and Presentation
Limited to one per membership (five per household maximum), this model arrived March 2022 as RLC-only release. Packaged on illustrated blister card within Kar Keepers clamshell protection, it included commemorative button and patch. Retail priced at twenty-five dollars, it's become a secondary market staple among serious collectors.
